I am an architect by professional qualification, but ever since I began seriously painting in the summer of 2009, art has become my chosen means of creative expression, and now my profession.

I have painted and sketched all my life. However, it was when I began learning art at the Ohio State University (alongside studying for my Masters) that I realized art was more than just a hobby. My teachers Ginnie Baer, Pheoris West and Matt Dietz taught me how to look at subjects in new and exciting ways, encouraged me to use different media and to bravely explore my creative side. Being surrounded by such amazing energy, I felt like a part of my mind that had remained dormant for so long was finally awakened, and art became my solace during troubled times.

Back in India, destiny led me to cross paths with eminent artist A.V. Ilango, who is now my guru, mentor, and friend. I studied creative painting under him at Ilango's Artspace - the studio/art school he runs. I have learnt so much about what life is like as an artist through him, and have met the most wonderful, creative people through the studio.

I now paint every weekday in my studio in Bangalore. I'm happy to say that my work has found collectors from all over the world in USA, UK, Cananda, UAE, Oman, Singapore and across India. If you're interested in my work, or would like me to paint something for you, do get in touch, I'd love to hear from you :)
